about me
behind the blog >>
I'm Paige Robertson and I'm just a bookworm mama who loves connecting with others over our favorite reads. The biggest compliment you could ever give me is to ask me what you should read next or tell me that you loved my recommendation (or compliment my eyebrows). I'm an audiobook addict and Libby by Overdrive’s biggest fan.
my story >>
Reading reviews and looking through creator feeds, I felt like the reading world's loudest voices were professional reviewers who read full time, or women who read romance and filled their day with aesthetic coffee shop trips and beach getaways. Those voices are valid, but I wanted to add a more realistic voice that seems underrepresented: moms who love to read but struggle to find the time or have too much on their mind to even consider telling others what a book was about (they just know they loved it). I'm still trying to find ways to connect with that community and eventually want to share my tips on reading around the expectations of being a mother and finding that space to give ourselves that time and care-- and retaining information to have meaningful conversations about what we're reading.
Fun fact-- "Barsiebeth" is a combo of my kiddos' names: Barrett (December '24), Josie (August '22), and Bethany (would have been due September '19).
what you'll see >>
Most people have a niche when they read- NOT ME! I will read almost anything, and you'll see that in my reviews: my reading taste is eclectic. I'll use tags here to help you find the genres you prefer, but if you're looking for someone addicted to romantasy or someone who adores WWII women's perspective stories, I'm just not your gal.
